One down...

Finally the day arrived, the sun was fighting to shine and won, the birds were singing, and at 7:30AM the Bride to be was getting ready. At 4PM, family and friends gathered at the church and the cameras were a buzzing as the my sister came down the aisle in her wedding finery on the arm of my father. She was so beautiful. Yes, folks, my sister married on Saturday to a wonderful man. They are now on their honeymoon.

The reception was awesome. The dance floor was only empty when the food was being served and for the cake. Everyone had a great time. My son actually took me out to dance, too, and he is not even 2 years old. Then I spent sometime in the bridal suite because Jack was sleeping. My mother/father-in-law were happy to sit in the bridal suite watching over Jack. I guess the roles will be reversed when my sister-in-law gets married and my parents are watching over Jack.

I had a wonderful Mother' day. My husband and son took me to a nice restaurant for brunch. I was sooooo stuffed but the food was awesome. After brunch I dropped off my husband because the poor guy was so miserable with his allergies. Later, I took my mom out for dinner.

Now, I have at least two weeks to relax before my sister-in-law's wedding. Time to get some knitting done other than at midnight. I promise to post some of my projects.

Where's my bottle?

So I had the bright idea of having my son say bye bye to his bottles and on to the sippy cup. Easier said than done. I spent all day Friday just putting up with my son and his temper tantrums. He would throw one if I didn't give into him whether it was to get chocolate or let him play with the water.

I felt like I was going nuts. I eventually just sat down and started knitting. I made a lot of progress on the scarf I'm knitting. I'm almost done with one skein.

My son finally has come to accept the sippy cup for milk instead of just water or juice.

till next time.
