The New Year

We ended 2009 with a blast and our usual New Year's Eve dinner at Kiku's. We also managed to buy a new Minivan right before Christmas to accommodate the soon to be new addition to our family.

The year began with a blast. While Baby Number 3 wasn't due til March 20th, it was decided that baby would need to come early. Once again I went for a routine ultrasound since the baby was on the small side and ended up having to drive myself to the hospital in sleet to have a cesarean since my placenta liquid was down to 2% and baby wasn't growing. So Baby 3 was born at the end of February.

I feel very lucky that I had a great family to help with my other 2 babies. I missed them so much that I decided not to stay the extra day in the hospital.

Now we've been home for about 2 weeks and half and everyone is doing great. My little preemie baby is getting bigger every day and has a healthy appetite.

Well need to go take care of baby. Catch you later.

It's been awhile..

since my last post.

A lot has happened since July and our vacation to Sesame Place. Since we have season passes to Sesame Place, we went many times to Sesame Place. The kids had a great time.

We had a baby shower for my Sister-In-Law when she and her husband came by for a visit. It was great to see her and her little baby bump.

We spent a lot of time trying to get ready for Halloween. Usually my son doesn't like to get dressed up or pick a costume. This year he knew exactly what he wanted....Optimus Prime. The little princess will be Little Red Riding Hood. We still have to get our pumpkins. We did the corn maze with my In-Laws. We had a lot of fun.

Now for the last bit of news....we will have a new addition to our family. Baby number 3 should join us by March 20th.

Well that's all for now.

July Vacation...

Well, here's my monthly update.

We went to Medieval Times and had a blast. My son had so much fun and was actually cheering on his knight. He also sat next to his big cousin having a blast. My daughter actually slept through most of it but woke up in time to see our Knight win.

We also had my daughter's hair cut. She went from being messy to clean cut.

July was a very busy month. My son turned 4 years old. I can't believe how time is flying. He had so much fun playing with his cousins that we couldn't pull him away.

Last but not least we just came back from vacation. We went to Sesame Place and had so much fun. Both my babies were able to go on most of the rides and it was great seeing my son more open to the ideas. We also went to Philadelphia to see the Rocky statue and to see the Star Trek Exhibition at The Franklin.

It was a very relaxing week for me and can't wait for the next vacation. Maybe we can plan for Disney. :)

Til next time.

It's June already..

Well we went on our Memorial Day weekend getaway. Loved it! There was so much to do in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. As predicted the babies had a wonderful time at the Aquarium. I think my daughter wanted to jump in the water with some of the fish. My son loved pointing out all the fish especially sharks.

Now we are planning our outings for the summer. I also have to book a hotel for Sesame Place. Found a great deal online for Sesame Place but I need to think about the dates we are going.

We went to Six Flags Great Adventure this past weekend as part of a company sponsored event and had a blast. My son actually went on some rides with me or my husband. My daughter loved the merry go round.

We had so much fun it was amazing. My son actually won some prizes at the game stands. We stayed for the parade and I loved it. Something special. I have to say I was quite impressed with how Great Adventure actually cleaned up.

Coming up next are Midevil Times and Wizard World. I'll let you know how it goes.

May flowers

Well another month has gone by.

We've been doing a lot of spring cleaning around home. We've managed to get most of the kids toys organized and some packed ready for donating to the shelter.

I've been crying when I'm putting away some the kids clothes that don't fit. I'm not ready to give them up yet. Although, I've taken some steps to pass some clothes down.

On another note, we've had some really good weather here and I've taken complete advantage of it. The family has gone to some picnics. We've done kite flying, played catch, and in general just let the kids run around. I've watched them roll around in the dirt...Laundry time was fun.

The kids are having the time of their life.

I also have a trip planned for them. We are going to go away for Memorial weekend to Baltimore. I've noticed that Jack enjoys aquariums more than the zoo. Well we've visited the NY and Mystic aquarium so we are going to try the Maryland aquarium. He's been there when he was 1 but now he's older and can remember. Sabrina seems to enjoy herself, too.

I can't wait to get away. I know we might be sitting in traffic on the way back but it will be worth it. I also managed to get a deal on a hotel with an indoor pool so that we can take the kids. I wasn't sure if it would be to cold to take the kids to an outdoor pool.

I'll let you know how it goes!

I Can't Believe It....

My daughter is now 1 year old. I can't believe where the time has gone. She's even walking. I'm so upset and happy at the same time! She looked so beautiful for her birthday. We celebrated her birthday with all the family. She even ate her own birthday cake. It was a Princess theme (not Disney Princess) and she really was the Princess of the day. Her cake was gorgeous.

Now, I just have to plan my son's birthday party. I can't believe he is going to be 4 years old. I'm going to start crying again.

On another note, we have been having really nice weather here in NJ. So we've been going out and spending it at parks or just going for nice drives. I need to start stocking up on food that I can take on picnic at a moments notice.

Maybe I can bring my knitting along on these trips.

My first...ahem...My daughter's first American Girl Doll...

Just recently, my sister and sister-in-law took our little baby girls out to American Girl Place. I've been dying to go there for a long time. My sister is still freaked out by Chucky so I pretty much had to force her to go with us.

We immediately went to the Bitty Twins section to see which ones our daughters would like. I picked twins that look like my daughter and her older brother. My sister and sister-in-law just gone one doll.

I'm so in love with it and my daughter has this look on her face of awe. Here's a baby her size she can actually grab and hug without someone telling her to be careful. She gets jealous when I play with her dolls.

Did I mention that the girls are all under 1 year. Well my daughter will be 1 on April 4.

We just could not help it. My daughter's godmother (sister-in-law) bought the dolls for her Birthday. I really want a doll for myself.

Afterwards, we went out for lunch and then to Starbucks. We had lots of fun just being with the girls. My husband took our son out for a guys day out. So they had their own fun. It was great to hear my son talk about the fun he had with his daddy.

I know this is an extravagance for a little girl. She does have other dolls from all sorts of price levels...mostly on the cheaper side. But I do want to give her one doll. I wanted the Cabbage Patch doll as a girl but we couldn't afford one. That's okay..I took the knock off. Nothing wrong with that but I would like to do this for my girl.

My son is down to earth too. He doesn't need the labels and I do shop for him at Target regularly for clothes...I mean he does outgrow them pretty quick to spend top notch dollars. My daughter wears my son's clothes so she gets the boys hand me downs. I do buy some girl clothes but for the most part she has worn her brother's clothes.

I will teach my kids that it isn't all about labels but if I can get them one thing I will as long as it is within my means. So for all of you out there that say I'm teaching my kids something wrong...think again. I don't think I need to feel guilty for getting my kids an item with a label. For every one label I get them, they have many more non-label items.

My kids also will learn the value of money early on so they can appreciate how it works. My children know that we don't always go out and buy stuff and my son sometimes plays with something at the store and drags it around but when it is time to go he puts it back. Sometimes we ask him if he wants it and he says no. My daughter is still to young.

Well that's my post. Kind of all over the place.
